The Stranger Things pinball machine from Stern Pinball challenges players to uncover government secrets. They find themselves drawn into a web of top?secret government experiments and supernatural events. A central location is the Hawkins National Laboratory (Hawkins Labs), a secluded research facility operated by the Department of Energy, hidden in the woods outside the fictional town of Hawkins. All Stranger Things pinball models feature a moving ramp that leads directly into battle with a specially sculpted Demogorgon, the shadow monster. The machine includes the iconic theme song from the Stranger Things series and a custom voiceover by actor David Harbour (Police Chief Jim Hopper).
The Premium and LE models include the first video projector ever used in a pinball machine, projecting images and animations directly onto the playfield for dramatic interactions. These models also feature a “Telekinetic Magnetic Ball Lock.”
