Who and what is VENOM?

VENOM is a character from the fictional world of the Marvel Universe. Venom appears in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character is a sentient alien symbiote with an amorphous, liquid-like form that survives by bonding with a host, usually a human.

The designer is Brian Eddy, with clear artistic influences from Zombie Yeti Art. The game code was developed by Dwight Sullivan.

Stern’s Venom pinball machines immerse players in the chaotic Marvel universe of this antihero, featuring more than 20 characters including Eddie Brock, Flash Thompson, Peter Parker, and Miles Morales: Eddie Brock, Flash Thompson, Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker, Black Suit Spider-Man, Miles Morales, Riot, Agony, Lasher, Phage, Doppelganger, Venomized Hulk, Venomized Wolverine, and Venomized Captain America. Venom’s archenemy Carnage is collecting Codices to awaken Knull, the god of the symbiotes. Venom must stop Carnage by fighting through his army of symbiotes and infected beings to prevent him from taking over the world.

At the start of each game, players choose a host to bond with, altering the entire gameplay experience both physically and digitally. Vertical flipper?lock symbiote tanks on both sides of the playfield lock balls and release them rapidly, creating constant frenetic action as players shoot through the mechanically shifting paths of the Agro?Lab and the Life Foundation. Players will also strike an interactive, custom?made Carnage captive ball back into the Ravencroft Institute for the Criminally Insane. Additionally, a surprise Doppelganger attack can trigger instantly, revealing three uplift targets that unleash chaos.
