JJP designer Eric Meunier (Pirates of the Caribbean, Guns N’ Roses ‘Not In This Lifetime’) delivers an exciting gameplay experience and brings the universe of The Godfather under glass for the first time. The machine features hand?drawn artwork packages by artists Christopher Franchi and Jesper Abels, with art direction and animations by industry?leading animator Jean?Paul DeWin. Rule programming was led by industry veteran Keith Johnson (The Wizard of Oz, The Hobbit, Pirates of the Caribbean), ensuring an innovative and engaging experience.
The playfield design offers 29 unique ball paths, a 3?ball lock feeding all three flippers, “The Compound,” an active Newton?ball lock, four custom sculptures (an interactive Caporegime, the Statue of Liberty, an LED?animated water fountain, and the bust of Vito Corleone), an under?playfield subway system, exclusive JJP HotRail lighting, and much more.
About The Godfather
The Godfather is an American mafia film from 1972 directed by Francis Ford Coppola and based on the novel of the same name by Mario Puzo. The main characters, Don Vito Corleone and Michael Corleone, were played by Marlon Brando and Al Pacino. Other notable cast members include Diane Keaton, James Caan, and Robert Duvall, among others.
The world premiere of The Godfather took place on March 14, 1972. On March 22, 2022, the “The Godfather 50 Years Edition” was released — a newly remastered version in 4K UHD.
